I just finished "Nickel and Dimed: On Not Getting By in America" by Barbara Ehrenreich. It's a very interesting book and definitely changed my perspective on the working poor in America and oddly enough closely parallels the last few months of my own life.

I have also been working on Uncle Tom's Cabin and am about half finished with "The Bluest Eye" by Toni Morrison. I am reading it because it is one of the 100 most often banned books in America and I have a goal to read all 100 so I can defend them. I don't think anyone has the right to impose their beliefs on others and try to dictate what someone else reads.
